HHS: Checklist for states on bird flu planning

The Department of Health and Human Services held a meeting today with state and local leaders to discuss what they need to be doing to prepare locally for avian flu. The news from the meeting is summarized in this Boston Globe piece.

This newly-released HHS checklist (pdf) is a useful overview of what state and local governments need to be doing to prepare.
