DHS CFO Andy Maner steps down

Filed under: DHS News — by Christian Beckner on January 17, 2006

According to a DHS press release today, DHS chief financial officer (CFO) Andy Maner will resign from his position effective March 3, 2006.

Maner was appointed to the position in January 2004, and in the interim Congress passed the Department of Homeland Security Financial Accountability Act requiring the CFO of DHS to be Senate-confirmed. Congress will undoubtedly insist that the next CFO of DHS is selected consistent with this law, and goes through the Senate confirmation process.
