Below is a list of homeland security policy events in the DC area next week. I post a list each week and will sometimes update mid-week when I find new items. 4/11-4/12: 2006 Homeland & Global Security Summit. Features DHS Dep. Sec. Jackson and Under Secretary Foresman as speakers. Washington Convention Center. 801 Mount Vernon Place.
4/11: National Infrastructure Advisory Council (NIAC) meeting. Grand Hyatt Hotel, 1000 H St, NW., 1:30pm.
4/11: Woodrow Wilson Center event on “The Avian Flu Challenge in Southeast Asia: The Potential of Public-Private Partnerships.” Reagan Building, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave NW, 3pm.
4/12: Migration Policy Institute event on “Current Challenges to Protection.” 1400 16th St NW, 8:30am.
4/13: Center for Public Health Preparedness (U. of Albany) webcast on “Systems or Symptoms? Finding the Right Balance in Preparing for Emergencies.” 10am. See link for webcast instructions.
