NPR series on the lexicon of terror

Filed under: General Homeland Security — by Christian Beckner on November 2, 2006

If you have a few minutes, take a listen to some of the fascinating segments on NPR’s All Things Considered this week that look at the rhetoric and meaning of key words and phrases – jihad, Islamofascism, “War on Terror,” etc…in our post-9/11 lexicon. An in-depth examination of the phrase “homeland security” would have made a worthwhile sixth segment in the series, but alas, it’s not part of it.
