Reported that McVeigh checked out the FEMA Region VI offices in DENTON which are located in a Federal Relocation Center and decided to tough to strike against. These six centers were created during the Kennedy Presidency and still in use, including Thomasville, GA; Maynard, Mass.; Bothell, Washington; and Olney; MD; and outside Denver, Colorado. The site of Mt. Weather in Berryville, VA was announced as a FRC after a TWA plane crashed into the moutain in 1974. These hardened sites are perfect against IED and certain other CBRNE attacks. Hope they have been kept updated but in my time were not properly maintained. Congress dearly wishes now that release of information on the Greenbriar Hotel facilty in W.VA. had not been released. Interesting that the Senator seat in Illinois has renewed calls for immediate election of Senate replacements with no immediate replacement by Gubenotrial (sic) appointment. Interesting implications for Congressional Branch COG if the Congress, not the Pentagon had been hit on 9/11. Representatives can be replaced only after elections. Senators can be replaced by appointment. This whole arena needs better thinking. I thought that there was a SAIC for the FBI also in the Murrah Building?
