Having read the transcript after posting my comment on the previous thread, I’m sticking with what I already wrote. Encouragement from the bully pulpit is fantastic and required, but where is the real new meat that will significantly improve on the pace and scope of activity already taking place?

A tough question that I don’t have answers to, but one that I think requires an answer if any goals of increasing resilience are to be achieved.

Note that Citizen Corps appropriations have never really allowed for substantial citizen preparedness including training and equipment. Hoping that Citizen Corps could see at least $150M annual appropriation. I think this year will come in around $40M!
