Someone is listening: The Secretary’s speech to the American Constitution Society

Filed under: General Homeland Security — by Philip J. Palin on June 27, 2010

Last weekend I complained about not being able to  find a transcript of Secretary Napolitano’s speech to the ACS.  Further, the “speeches and statements” link at www.dhs.gov had not been updated since April.  I am glad to report the speech is now available.   I will give the Secretary’s remarks  an exegetical treatment in a future post.  Thank you.

Words are important!

I agree that words are indeed important, yet be weary….

Apparently, if you say much in sharing opinion/ perspective, whether it be enroute to Washington or for that matter, anywhere, one may be subjected to let’s just call it, a comprehensive security procedure as fellow boarding passengers watch from a distance….

I can only assume that TSA is just doing its job per directive, however from those of us here on Main Street USA, is this procedure really just a random choice or is it because words are so important that entrusted “elected” officials or otherwise must do their utmost to….

Surely we are at peril from those seeking our demise whether it be AQ or from within, however, the continuing partisan ways, the incestuous applaud of the same, “boys” playing games rather than men with character and leadership and commitment to our beloved nation….Oh, scripture points to quite difficult challenges ahead unless we repent, the “good ‘ol boys” of the beltway change their tune -

Words are important…and “Stop Spending” are words we seldom hear from you Mr. President and your accomplices i.e., “Smug-smiled Pelosi” as it is not a mere $12trillion times we are in deficit, but now far greater with each day soem 5billion “fiat federal reserve notes” in deficit….

Both sides of the aisle should – resign – from office and let us who are truly proud to be American and understand our role and responsibilities forge ahead instead of lagging behind and choosing only those whose fortitude, commitment to Constitution and Republic abound!

This oil spill is horrendous and We are already tired of hearing CNN and Fox talking about how much it has cost BP for the real cost is in the hearts and minds of our fellow neighbors subjected to such criminal neglect and indifference….BP knew the risks and indifferent to such, caused irreperable harm to children and let’s hope we do not see oil on Myrtle Beach (SC)….

Madame Secretary, it is time to take DHS to a level where experienced professional personnel understand the importance of their work and the survival of our great nation. Oust the politically appointed and recruit the best we have for the world is riddled with corruption, the double dip and worse will become a reality and the Gulf states far from the oil spill will be ablaze in battle as Iran has its sights on an engagement in the Middle East which will threaten our security and compromise many lives especially througout Europe and the Middle East…

DHS is our front line and steadfast to Constitytion and the principles thereof, Mr. President, tighten up the ship, tighten the belt and listen to the words…Stop Spending!
