Coincident with the flames filling your television screen this morning, on Tuesday the National Interagency Fire Center released its new National Significant Wildland Fire Potential Outlook for May-August. ┬áIn the West — and some other places — the outlook ain’t good.

Drought and its close relation FIRE scare me as much as any hazard with high probability of occurrence.

Are cisterns and emergency supply of water mandatory anywhere in codes and ordinances?

Mark Chubb have you built your cistern for firefighting library fires yet?
