With the threat of Ebola, private citizens need help to prepare in case of a situation that travels through the nation. It would be beneficial to have initiatives that address what practices to do to stay safe; however, who would conduct these informative seminars, or who would pay and create informational materials? The media could work with the medical sector to inform the public of practices and preparation guides to help them. I still think to myself, how many people would listen?

With so much pride in the acumen, the innovative and ambitiousness of our populace in this 21st century, yet so discouraged by so many who take pledge in oath to our beloved Republic, our Constitution, our Judeo-Christian principals, to ‘ol Glory and so many led by this eight year resident of the WH “entrusted” by precious vote to take charge and enforce the laws and bring America forward with such promise when in fact such manipulative and divisiveness has weakened us so – enslaving – so many to an every powerful government!

Gpd Bless us all!

Those whose evil and dastardly deeds as Lucifer’s soldiers are on the march and it is only America who can thwart those who seek our demise and whose corruption wish to shroud goo people in the darkness…what a shame!

KIndly see the pride of America which stands tall despite Barry Obama and Ms. Hillary and the illustrious AG and the likes of Harry Reid and ’smug-smiled pelosi” and all their scandalous ways and no matter what party, look and see what pride we note in the following:

IF . . .

The government knew that the enterovirus, which first surfaced in mid-August, and has spread to at least 48 states, infecting at least 600 individuals, and killing four 10 y/o or younger, was caused by the resettlement at undisclosed locations, of over 50,000 UACs who had crossed our border, . . .

Would they tell the American citizens?

Should they?

Fire Prevention Week Coming to a close
– Test Your Smoke Alarms

America’s fire death rate is one of the highest in the world. Fire kills 3,400 and injures 17,500 people each year. Firefighters pay a high price for this terrible fire record as well; approximately 100 firefighters die on duty each year.

Property losses due to fire reach over $12 billion a year. Most of these deaths and losses can be prevented!

This is why the United States Fire Administration (USFA) supports Fire Prevention Week each year. As an entity of the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency, the mission of the USFA is to provide national leadership to foster a solid foundation for our fire and emergency services stakeholders in prevention, preparedness, and response.

Fire Prevention Week is October 5th -11th; this year’s theme is Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives: Test Yours Every Month. Take the time to make sure your family is protected and will be alerted if there is smoke and fire in your home. Having a working smoke alarm could give your family the extra minutes it needs to escape a home fire.

As I stood in silent protest of the “politicizing” in charade forcing a local fire station closing from 1992 through 1995, as a concerned citizen and nothing more, during the 1,491 hours I stood with protest sign in hand “Open Engine 4” in the snow, rain, wind, thunderstorms and whatever conditions prevailed, I noted the brotherhood and the commitment to public safety firefighters, police officers and EMT’s demonstrate daily and while my efforts were witnessed by the Lord and the many prayers I said during this one-man protest which fortunately did muster the support to “reopen” the local fire station after a tireless and tenacious effort (kindly see: http://www.bigdiglifevest.com), I will alway stand steadfast with all law enforcement officers for the courage, the bravery and the willingness to respond to our 911 calls when neither the self-serving politician and for that matter often family will not be the individuals by our side when our desperate calls for 911 are made and we can hear help on the way!

Thank you for your service!

Large-scale preparedness for EBOLA nationally by Executive Branch with msjor exercise rollout this weekend October 11th, 12th, and 13th!.

Comment by Philip J. Palin

Bill: The Brits are doing a nationwide Ebola exercise today. I am aware of several US jurisdictional and organizational exercises being conducted this weekend and scheduled for next week. I have not seen/heard about a coordinated national exercise. Can you point us to details?

Perhaps relevant: Yesterday I encouraged a Big City emergency manager to use the current Ebola scare as an opportunity to “run the traps” on preparedness for infectious disease. It is a great time to ask “what if” questions on the interagency and intergovernmental teleconferences. It is a great time to test operational readiness.

While I have already admitted this vector has fattened far beyond my early expectations, in its current form I do not expect it to be a serious issue in the United States… unless we fail to get it under control in West Africa. Exercises and other steps here can contribute to strategic preparedness. But our most effective response activities need to be focused on West Africa.

Here are a couple of bits on the national exercise conducted in the UK:

The official “after-action” from the Department of Health

News coverage by The Telegraph.

A BBC news report including a video.

The UK’s effort to reverse the epidemic in West Africa is focused on Sierra Leone, much as the US effort is focused in Liberia. The French are focused on Guinea.

E. Earhart: I understand that enterovirus is — and has long been — common. This year’s outbreak is not unusual in scope, but it is unusual in causing many more cases of serious respiratory distress. As far as I have been told or can discover, the cause of the increased impact is not known.

If and when the cause of the increased impact can be confirmed, that cause should be communicated. Knowledge is better than ignorance, even when knowledge is badly used. Besides, if we know anything it is that cover-ups almost never work and the result of a cover-up will be worst than whatever the cover-up was intended to prevent.

Vigilance that must never falter . . . in the never ending fight against terror.

The Plague, by Albert Camus, a “big” book, has much to teach about EM/hls/NS

“What’s natural is the microbe. All the rest – health, integrity, purity (if you like) – is a product of the human will, of a vigilance that must never falter. The good man, the man who infects hardly anyone, is the man who has the fewest lapses of attention.” 1991 Edition, p.253

“He knew that the tale he had to tell could not be one of final victory. It could be only the record of what had to be done, and what assuredly would have to be done again in the never-ending fight against terror and its relentless onslaughts.” 1991 Edition, p.306

Breaking News:

Possible Ebola in Braintree, MA rushed to Boston hospital?

Also, 1780 Great Hurricane, well, let’s “listen” to the latest reconnaissance aircraft on what may be a storm maybe not so great, but one to disrupt cell phones and texting! How dare Mother Nature might do such? Keep a watchful eye as intensification likely….

3M largest domestic producer of EBOLA protective gear FDA approved. Already at max production with 6 month shortfall based on current needs at minimum.

EBOLA protective gear must be individually fitted not just donned.

It is an OSHA criminal violation to put unprotected untrained workers in harm’s way.

When will EBOLA become a NATIONAL HEALTH EMERGENCY? No screening at Dulles Airport until Thursday!

West African cab drivers dominate several eastern USA cities! Will they be screened?
