Is climate change a homeland security issue? Is the Pope Catholic?

Filed under: Climate Change,General Homeland Security — by Arnold Bogis on January 7, 2015

Thanks to a post by the Recovery Diva last week, I learned that the Pope plans on issuing an edict on climate change this year. According to the Guardian:

But can Francis achieve a feat that has so far eluded secular powers and inspire decisive action on climate change?

It looks as if he will give it a go. In 2015, the pope will issue a lengthy message on the subject to the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics, give an address to the UN general assembly and call a summit of the world’s main religions.

Following a visit in March to Tacloban, the Philippine city devastated in 2012 by typhoon Haiyan, the pope will publish a rare encyclical on climate change and human ecology. Urging all Catholics to take action on moral and scientific grounds, the document will be sent to the world’s 5,000 Catholic bishops and 400,000 priests, who will distribute it to parishioners.

This will be…interesting.

This is intrinsically a homeland security issue. Perhaps not the work on the inputs, but the outputs certainly affect the work across any number of homeland security areas.

In theory, homeland security practitioners desire, encourage, and even plan on non governmental participation in their work. Right? There is a particular push for involvement and cooperation with religious groups.

So how exactly will this anticipated call from one of the world’s great religious leaders be heard?  Will it be recognized or ignored?

So many questions…so few answers…so little personal Papal infallibility…

While Not a climate change advocate and I truly believe the Earth has its cycles and a study of not a 100 years or even thousands of years is convincing and see that again the rich class and its ongoing motto – Divide et Impera – whether climate or religious wars or any War whatsoever, all in the name of power and money….

….whether Jack Crichton or George Lumpkin, Harry Weatherford or George Whitmeyer…Harriman, Rockefeller or Bush or “Operation Paperclip” and so on….all is “As old as the Sicilian Hills” as the saying goes….same ‘ol, same ‘ol and the masses have not come to realize much even since “Operation Northwoods” the Union Bank, #39 Broadway and few if any, remember the sinking of the SS Normandy in ’42….and so much more, but heck, who really give a darn!

It truly does not matter that the Pope and the ever powerful and corrupt Vatican will come out and say anything about climatology for whether there is actual global warming based on long term fact and not 100 years or even one-thousand years, the overpopulation of the Earth and its limited resources and the fact that some one billion folks, yes children do Not have access to a clean glass of water…truly who gives a care….

If the elite and powerful tell us that there is indeed global warming, then, yes, global warming it is and while the same talk little of the food that is so tainted by chemicals and loaded with corn and we are dying of cancer and poor nutrition, the power have been witness to the fact that “People give their lives just so a few fat cats can make a killing” and the quote, famous and factual….

If the southern border of our nation really should be closed, the border would be closed, however they are not and if the “do-gooders whether citizen or politician speak out about borders and immigration or are adverse to joining along in this chorus of global warming, well, there is little room for such….

Few read and even fewer have ever heard of the “Hitler Project” and if the global population were not so indolent and apathetic, they would be attentive to the lessons of history, yet the bottom line, few give a care….Wether the Brown Brothers or Harriman, today is not different that yesteryear, those that can say, “”I am a 1%’er” control the media and the global events and the less astute which comprise many, well, we are enslaved by this ongoing theme employed by Roman leaders and very much the theme of today, – Divide et Impera – yes, to global warming, yes, to overpopulation and yes, yes, yes! Know as little as possible and don’t rock the boat and all will be just fine….

While the temperature is below zero and awfully cold, don’t fret ’cause We are told now even by the Pope himself that global warming is the next bogey man other than ICIS to scare us….but heck, who gives a care for we are merely pawns on the board to riches for those that can stand and say, “I am a 1%’er” –

I argue Climate Change is NOT an HS issue! Evidence? Not a single climatologist in DHS or FEMA. Why? No retired military to fill the job.

And note how many climate change deniers resemble Lemmings.

BTW the Defense Science Board has issued several excellent reports analyzing impact of Climate Change on the Pentagon programs, functions, and activities.

BTW why are DSB reports and RAND reports mentioned so seldom by the academic community? Many impact HS and HD! IMO!

To the White House regarding Paris, a senseless violence, No, an act of terrorism and nothing less – enough of your perverse and tainted ways….one does not have to read between the lines – those in the Muslim and Christian community in this 21st century are truly disgusted at these acts of dastardly deed against innocent.

I do concur though that while folks can and should enjoy freedom of speech, the degrading of Mohammed or Jesus Christ or even one another, what purpose does this serve. Why is it necessary to be so insulting towards one another and to make comment on another’s freedom of choice and faith. Hurting another is not what God has taught us….Enough is enough!

…and to the French, whether Christian Muslim, Hebrew or other, some 10% of your population is Muslim and only a small percentage is comprised as extremists so why do you have these zones in your cities referred as no-go zones – do you not all have to abide by French law and whether Christian or Muslim and have certain traditions and laws which you choose to participate according to your faith, what are these no-go zones? Whether citizen or not and here on visa, we in America must adhere to the sovereign and state law like all other nations….kindly explain….as this type of no-go zone seems contrary to the norm and maybe a good idea, just asking as so different than most everywhere else?

Let’s show some Respect for one another! All are God’s children and all is witnessed by the Lord.
