President Obama addresses the phrase “radical Islam”

Filed under: General Homeland Security,Radicalization — by Arnold Bogis on June 15, 2016

President Obama, in remarks following a meeting of his National Security Staff regarding anti-ISIL efforts, addresses the criticism about his refusal to use the term “radical Islam.”

(You can rewind the video I’ve posted below to the beginning to hear all of the remarks — I started it at the point of addressing the “radical Islam” issue simply for this particular post).

Thanks for this post!

Perhaps my view that Islam is part of the history of Western Civilization needs more scholarship. There are over 40 sects in Islam and no real doctrine beyond the Quran. Islam is one of the principal reasons we call it WESTERN CIVILIZATION and not CRISENDOM [sic]! Is CRISIS not Christ the driver for Western Civilization?

The history of mankind very seldom differs from one generation to the others w/the same dysfunctional ways…what a pity!

Islam and Christianity have fought for centuries and nothing will alter such continued ways…it is truly unfortunate to the innocent and to those who wish to practice the religious faith they choose…..

God Bless humanity!
